Salvia S. Fox is a successful litigator that focuses her practice in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and civil matters. After being in private practice for more than 16 years, Attorney Fox also serves as a part-time judge in Clayton County Magistrate Court and as an Associate Judge in Clayton County Juvenile Court. Born and raised in Bolingbrook, Illinois, Mrs. Fox migrated to Georgia where she graduated from North Clayton High School as student body president. Ms. Smith earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. While at Spelman, she was involved in the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program, tutored elementary school children, participated in numerous community service activities, and simultaneously worked full-time.
Attorney Fox earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Georgia Lumpkin School of Law in Athens, GA. While at UGA, she participated in The Frederick Douglas Moot Court Competition, was actively involved in BLSA, worked for the Athens Public Defender's Office, and interned for the Georgia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. Mrs. Fox did a summer clerkship for the Honorable Justice Robert Benham of The Supreme Court of Georgia. During her third year of law school, she worked in The Office of Counsel for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Multifamily Division.
After graduating from law school, Attorney Fox began her law career at a small firm that concentrated on criminal defense, real estate, and general civil matters. After being in private practice for several years, she started her own firm and currently practices in the Atlanta metropolitan area. She is managing partner of her law firm Smith & Brown, LLC. She has served as a mock trial coach for North Clayton High School and Georgia State University. Throughout her tenure as an attorney, Attorney Fox has been involved in numerous associations including the Clayton County Bar Association, Georgia High School Mock Trial Attorney Coach, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Family Law Section of The State Bar of Georgia, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Attorney Fox is a devoted and loving wife and mother to her 3 sons, Brandon, Jibri II, and Jett. To keep life interesting, Attorney Fox enjoys mentoring young people, going to concerts, and traveling.
